[glow=red,2,300]Youkai/ Yokai[/glow]
Y¨kai (Ñý¹Ö, Y¨kai? "apparitions", "spirits", or "demons", also romanized youkai, or yokai) are a class of obake, creatures in Japanese folklore (many with Chinese origins) ranging from the evil oni to the mischievous kitsune or snow woman Yuki-onna. Some possess part animal and part human features (e.g. Kappa and Tengu). Y¨kai generally have a sort of spiritual or supernatural power, and so encounters with human beings tend to be dangerous. Y¨kai also have different motives and agendas from human beings, which are often completely incomprehensible.
Some y¨kai simply avoid human beings; they generally inhabit secluded areas far from human dwellings. Other y¨kai, however, choose to live near human settlements out of some strange attraction to mankind; perhaps they are drawn by the warmth of human houses, or the oil that humans keep to feed their fires. Y¨kai and obake are often depicted in guises as much humorous as terrifying. Though some of them appear as normal as you or me¡. And most of the time. ¡.
These are the most dangerous¡.

Hanyou[/glow]
Han'y¨ often have characteristics from both parents but almost never quite equal to either. They enjoy a longer life span than average humans and have abilities from his or her non-human parent. Their powers often make them an outsider to the human society, while their weakness compared to full non-human beings keep them out of the non-human society. They often adopt the human form as his or her regular appearance but those who consider themselves an outcast, commonly a villain may intentionally choose the non-human form.
Depending on the story, the han'y¨ may be the product of love or hate of parents which strongly influence his or her future self. Reaction of those around a han'y¨ varies from strong racism to muted indifference.

Spiritual Humans[/glow]
These are humans who have the power to purify, read minds or other minor tasks. They are not yokai/youkai but rather normal humans with a blessed gift. Some claim these gifts come from the gods while others blame the demons of the lands for giving humans these strange powers. Sometimes these people are worshipped¡ while other times¡
They are feared.
