Makoto waited until Yukiko and her guest were past before climbing onto the path. He crouched down with his hands on the path and with a cracking of bones and a grunt of pain began the rapid but painful transformation from his human like form to monstrous wolf bear. He turned his great head to look at Kaze and spoke in a voice little better than a snarling growl.
"Saw tracks earlier. Climb on m'back, you'll never keep up otherwise. I want to get this hunt over with before it gets properly dark."

“ I treat my guests well so take my offer Karasu. The pack is just up here.” She barked as she hoisted herself up the mountain side to a sudden open area hidden amount the crevices. Here a small pool of water collected and held many large boulders in this mini valley in the mountains. Wolves lay everywhere at rest or tending to wounds from a earlier battle, some of them before huts that dotted the open valley entrance. She motioned for the bird guy to follow her as she lead him inside of the den, past a huge bonfire and showing him to the large labyrinth of smaller cave rooms inside.
“ I’ll have some pelts and kindle fetched for you later.” She told him as she showed him into one of the empty side caves.
“ These are more secure then the hut homes we use up front.” She explained a bit to him.

Kazehana took a step back. Rising her hands to before her face in uncertainty. This was when she nodded and moved forward to climb upon the mix breed’s back. The dog unsure if the Beta was really going to use her for bait like Yuikiko often did. Just because she was a dog and not of the wolf tribe fully.
“ Eh… Makoto-sama…. What… what is it you wish me to do?” She asked him. Trying to figure out the plan before they had to put it into action.

Makoto waited until the girl was settled on his broad back before bounding off down the slope toward where he had seen the tracks. Hopefully he could pick up the scent of the prey and follow to where ever the deer were spending the night.
"All you got to do is watch. Even if most of the pack don't like ya you still need to know how to hunt. Just keep quiet and when we get close and watch what I do."

"Well I shall hardly complain about the hospitality if you are certain you wish to bestow it." Takehito nodded his head, following the wolfess up into the secluded area. He made sure to stay reasonably close, not sure if the pack at large were going to view him as a meal if he strayed too far from their leader. It seemed they had been in a scuffle of some sort recently though, probably making them even more on edge. It also briefly occurred to him that he had yet to be asked for a name, but then that would only probably bring problems should they be familiar with his clan, nope Karasu was fine.
"Not my usual choice of location for rest but your concern and hospitality are very much appreciated." He swung the sack back round and pulled out the box of arrows he had shown her earlier.
"And those would be for you then." He smiled, offering the box to her.

Kaze nodded at this. She knew how to hunt a bit, but she would not question the Beta's motives and let him do as he pleased. Since he was being nicer to her at the moment then most of the others ever had been. She waited silently for him to pick up the scent.

The alpha nodded at this. A snort escapeing her nose as she picked up the box and looked it over.
" Good, good. If you need me I'll be about the den. Brutes don't know how to keep things in proper order." The woman coughed up as went to inspect the den area.

"All right then, enjoy the arrows." Takehito called after the wolf leader as she left. Taking a look around his little cave room. He set his sack down in a corner Before pacing around the room, getting a good feel for the space. He wouldn't be doing any aerial acrobatics in here that was for sure but for the most part it was comfortable for him. He turned his attention back to his sack and withdrew a few random things from inside, trying to sort his goods so that the stuff most likely to be desired here would be at the top, just to make things easier for whenever he got around to making a round of teh den with offers of trade.

Makoto quickly picked up the scent of the animals and loped along following their tracks through the valley. Finally they came to a sheltered copse of trees and the smell of deer was strong. He spoke in as quiet a growl as he could to Kaze.
"Climb down now and make no noise."
He waited for her to dismount before moving silently forward into the trees.

Kaze silently nodded at this. Getting down low as her youthful nose picked up the scent. Her golden eyes looked forward as a slight breeze blew her scent away from the deer, playing with her tail fur and hair all the while. Waiting for the hunter to instruct her farther as to what to do.

Yukiko sighed as she went towards the back of the den where her little throne room was embedded. Sitting the arrow’s upon a stand near the wall she sighed. Looking over to a necklace that hung upon the wall. Their last alpha had left her alone too soon…. And she didn’t know how much longer she could pose as a great powerful leader if these cat attacks did not subside from their lands. They needed the food…. And the humans weren’t willing to share with them either.

Makoto moved, quiet as a breeze, through the underbrush. He was hunkered low so as to conceal his large body as much as possible and his dark pelt was near invisible in the deep shade underneath the trees. He paused when they came to edge of a clearing in the trees. Huddled near the centre was the herd, large bucks around the outside containing the weaker young and frail.
He looked back at Kaze and signalled as best he could that she should move round to the other side of the clearing. That way she would be down wind of them and her smell would spook them and send them straight into Makoto's waiting jaws.
He really hoped she gleaned the meaning behind the tilts of his head and sweeping of his paws, he did not want speak in case they were heard.

Kaze nodded, doing what she was told. Laying low close to the earth as she crawled to her spot she was supposed to be in. She waited. Watching the prey. Hoping she didn’t mess up. When she was ready. She waited…. Watching…. Getting ready to move like she was instructed to.
